about

Eleanor Collides is back with an heroic new single. ‘Chasing Ghosts’ is a song about death, longing and regret. Nick is joined by Lucoline on vocals as they tell a story of two people unable to move on. Andy Wilson’s classical guitar solo speaks of a yearning for an absent lover before the song climaxes with an explosive solo from Michael Schiesari. Never one to stand still, Nick continues to expand his sonic palette and ventures into hard rock and power ballad territory, taking inspiration from the likes of Metallica and Alice in Chains.

lyrics

I see reflections of you in the crowd
No use keeping up with you now
Too many miles left to go
To waste my time chasing a ghost
I know that you're no longer there
Yet I keep on turning around
I still see your face in the crowd
Too many miles left to go

Left this behind, it's all in my mind
(Please just)
You should be dead to me, why won't you go?
(Let me go)
Left this behind, nothing to find
(Can't keep)
You should be dead to me, why wont you go?
(Chasing ghosts)
Why won't you go?

I want to leave all these shadows behind
To pack up my car and just drive
Nothing left here for me now
Except some ghosts in the crowd
Yet I keep on turning my head
I can't get a hold of the thread
Too many miles left to go
To waste my time chasing a ghost

Left this behind, it's all in my mind
(Please just)
You should be dead to me, why won't you go?
(Let me go)
Left this behind, nothing to find
(Can't keep)
You should be dead to me, why wont you go?
(Chasing ghosts)
